BottleRock Napa Valley returns on May 28 to 30, 2027, the Memorial Day weekend: three days of music, wine and food in downtown Napa. It is the valley's biggest weekend of the year, and rooms from Napa to Calistoga sell out as soon as the line-up lands.

Treat the festival weekend as its own trip: base in Napa town and walk, or stay up-valley and accept a slow evening ride back. If wine tasting is the point, come the week before or after, when the valley is calmer and cheaper.

The event
BottleRock is Napa's music festival: headline acts across several stages, with the valley's wineries, restaurants and chefs on site. The 2027 festival runs from Friday, May 28 to Sunday, May 30, the Memorial Day weekend.

The valley on festival weekend
Downtown Napa hosts the festival, so a Napa base makes the days walkable; Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga stay quieter by day but the evening ride back down Highway 29 is slow. Winery reservations are still possible on festival mornings if booked ahead.
For a tasting-led trip, the weekends either side of the festival offer the same valley without the crowds and the surge in rates.
